Hi! I'm Matt Della Porta!

Positive Psychology Ph.D.

For nearly a decade, I've used my expertise in happiness and positive psychology to assist organizations in boosting employee engagement for bottom line results. I earned my Social Science Ph.D. studying positive psychology under Dr. Sonja Lyubomirsky, one of the world's top happiness researchers.

I've provided my expertise to business culture consultancies in affiliation with world-renowned human potential expert Shawn Achor and the late Tony Hsieh, former CEO of Zappos. I've also provided onsite consulting services for organizations including Nationwide Insurance and T-Mobile.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing the drums and board games. I live in Rochester, New York with my wife, two daughters, and two cats.

MBA, Lean Master Black Belt

I'm a GE-trained Lean Six Sigma Black Belt who has implemented the full continuum of the Lean Business System, from launching and managing Hoshin Kanri (Strategy Deployment Process), conducting Value Stream Mapping & Analysis, facilitating over 100 Transaction Process Improvement Kaizen Events, and rolling out Lean Daily Management to more than a dozen organizations.

I have developed Lean eLearning courses and delivered many training and coaching sessions to transform business cultures to Lean cultures. I motivate teams to improve their work and themselves to deliver results!

In my spare time, I love to sail, hike, and sample craft beers in the Finger Lakes region of New York.
